Oh my days! There’s something about unicorns, isn’t there? The quiet guardians of imagination – gentle, powerful, and very mysterious. When I designed this unicorn night light, I wanted it to feel as though that calm, watchful presence had stepped softly into your home. Not loud or glittery. Just serene. Timeless. As if it had always belonged on your shelf.
I’ve also always loved the flowing, nature-inspired patterns of William Morris. The way leaves curl and twist into one another. The way everything feels alive and interconnected. So I brought those two worlds together – the mythical unicorn and the rich, layered beauty of William Morris–inspired design – and wrapped the entire scene around this cylindrical lamp. The unicorn, the full moon, and the intricate botanical background flow seamlessly around the outside, so wherever you place it, there’s always something beautiful to discover.
This unicorn night light stands 200mm tall and 100mm in diameter – substantial enough to feel like a statement piece, but compact enough to sit comfortably on a bedside table, bookshelf or sideboard. When it’s lit, the detailed 3D printed design comes to life. The moon glows softly behind the unicorn’s profile, and the swirling foliage creates depth and texture that you can see and feel.One of the things I cared about most when creating this unicorn nightlight was freedom. It’s fully rechargeable and lasts up to 24 hours between charges, depending on the colour you choose using the included remote control. That means no trailing cables, no hunting for sockets, no being limited to one corner of the room. You can place it wherever it feels right – on your bedside table one night, on a hallway console the next, maybe even as a centrepiece when you want a bit of quiet magic in the evening. And if you feel like moving it, you simply pick it up and take it with you.
