I designed this spherical rechargeable light after seeing a similar mains powered light advertised online. The whole point of this light is that it’s very portable. Something you can just pick up, place anywhere, and instantly create a calm, atmospheric corner in your home. It banishes darkness exactly where you need it to. Tethering it with cables and having to find sockets defeats the object in my opinion.
At 106mm in diameter and 96mm tall, it’s small enough to sit comfortably on a shelf, bedside table, or tucked into a cosy nook—but it has a presence that quietly transforms the space around it.
When you switch it on, it doesn’t just light up—it creates a gentle pool of light. Soft, focused pockets that bring warmth to surfaces, highlight textures, and make a space feel more intimate without overwhelming it. It’s the kind of light you don’t notice at first… but you’d miss it if it wasn’t there.
The ribbed surface adds a sculptural, organic look to it rather than it being a sterile white ball.
Because it’s a fully rechargeable light, you’re not tied to sockets or stuck planning your layout around cables. You can move it wherever you need it—on a dresser in the evening, a hallway corner at night, or even as a centrepiece on a table. It lasts up to 24 hours between charges depending on the colour you choose, all easily controlled with the included remote.
I wanted this to feel like something that naturally belongs in your home. Not a gadget, not a statement piece—just a quiet, object that makes your space feel better to be in.
Once you place it down and see those soft pools of light settle in, it really does feel like it’s always been yours. The video shows it under the stairs in our hall. This is a lovely space when well lit but awkward and dark with no mains socket handy. You can see quite clearly what a difference this little light makes
