William Morris Style Swan Mood Lamp

£24.95

There’s something instantly graceful about a swan with its wings outstretched, caught in that perfect balance of power and elegance. On this William Morris Style Swan Mood Lamp, the image of the swan is wrapped in the kind of flowing, nature-inspired pattern that William Morris made so enduring, a design style that still feels just as fresh and relevant in 2025 as it did when the Arts and Crafts movement first began over a century ago.

William Morris believed in beauty for everyday life – that even the simplest objects in our homes should lift the spirit. His designs, rich with plants, animals, and repeating patterns, inspired the later Art Nouveau movement too, with its curling lines and celebration of the natural world. Fast forward to today, and we still seem to crave the same things: pattern, comfort, and a reminder of the rhythms of nature in amongst all the modern clutter.

This little lamp brings that philosophy into the present day. It’s 3D printed from a plant-based PLA, so it’s kinder to the environment, and it’s powered by low-energy LEDs to give a soft but reliable glow. The rechargeable battery means no trailing wires once it’s charged, and the remote control lets you choose from 13 different colours. Or, if you’d rather not decide, you can let it gently fade through them all – a surprisingly calming effect, especially when you’re winding down at the end of the day.

There’s also a handy timer setting, so it will switch itself off after 30 or 60 minutes – perfect for bedtime if you like to drift off with a soft glow nearby. Whether you keep it on your bedside table, a shelf in the living room, or as a little mood light in a quiet corner, it’s one of those things that manages to feel both timeless and modern at once – much like Morris’s designs themselves.

The light is around 200mm tall and 90mm in diameter.
